As an Project Manager (PM) with Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) in our Environmental Practice, you will be directly involved with site assessments and investigations, and remedial action assessments and implementation. Your primary responsibility will be managing and conducting all aspects of various environmental investigation and remediation projects. The PM role also includes performing field activities as needed, such as the following: sample collection of various environmental media (i.e., groundwater, surface water, soil, sediment, and indoor air/vapor), soil classification and logging activities, and oversight of various subcontractor activities, including soil boring advancement and groundwater monitoring well installation, underground storage tank removals, and implementation of remediation technologies. The PM also assists with conducting ASTM-compliant Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESA) and Phase II ESAs, report preparation, and developing a variety of report figures utilizing GIS and CAD software, including aerial and topographic site maps, potentiometric surface maps, iso-concentration maps, and geologic cross sections. The individual’s degree of involvement will be based upon his/her exposure and experience with respect to the assigned work.
