About The Position

Allied World seeks an individual to serve in the role of Project Manager to support the ongoing management of North America underwriting platforms. This role will assist in coordinating initiatives, tracking progress, and ensuring smooth communication between underwriting, technology teams, and operations.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of Professional Liability and Property & Casualty products and processes
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in product delivery within commercial insurance
  • Strong PowerPoint skills, with experience translating complex information into clear visuals
  • Prior experience in underwriting systems implementation, management, and change support
  • Project leadership using Agile methodology, with hands-on experience using tools like Jira
  • History of successfully delivering complex projects with measurable business outcomes
  • Ability to translate insurance business needs into technology requirements
  • Experience managing release cycles, issue tracking and vendors
  • Strong communication, collaboration, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills

Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional initiatives to modernize underwriting platforms, aligning technology capabilities with evolving business and regulatory requirements
  • Drive enterprise-wide transformation efforts by facilitating planning, communication, and adoption of new underwriting tools and workflows
  • Partner with Stakeholders and Senior Leadership to refine strategy and build alignment on approach
  • Forward‑thinking problem solver who recognizes gaps, proposes solutions, and mobilizes teams to deliver results
  • Conduct capacity and resource planning to ensure teams are aligned and adequately staffed
  • Recognize and escalate issues that occur during project execution by tracking action items, risks, and dependencies across cross functional teams
  • Champion organizational adoption by directing training coordination, communication strategy, and readiness activities across impacted teams
  • Maintain project artifacts, meeting notes, requirements documents, issue logs, etc.
  • Leverage and maintain knowledge documentation in Jira, Confluence, or other project management tools
  • Report on project metrics including progress, resource utilization, risks and issues
  • Work closely with Underwriting, technology, and vendor partners to support business requirements gathering and testing
  • Take end‑to-end leadership of cross‑functional meetings, driving alignment, decision‑making, and follow‑through.
  • Identify and deliver on opportunities for continuous process improvement
