About The Position

At McKesson, we're committed to enabling seamless transitions through strategic change management. As a Change Management Associate supporting separation efforts, you will play a pivotal role in driving stakeholder alignment, operational readiness, and communication excellence across workstreams. This role is critical to ensuring business continuity and employee engagement during complex transitions. You will work cross-functionally with Project Managers, Functional Workstream Leads, key stakeholders and Communications teams. Your ability to coordinate across a matrixed organization, manage change impacts, and facilitate stakeholder engagement will be key to your success.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in change management, project coordination, or stakeholder engagement.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with separation processes or large-scale transitions preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to align diverse stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinking and ability to translate complex impacts into actionable messaging.
  • Experience with change impact assessments and sentiment modeling.
  • Strong project and process management skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Experience using Smartsheet, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and other collaboration tools.
  • Ability to navigate matrixed organizations and drive alignment across workstreams.

  • ProSci Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Track operational readiness across people, processes, and systems using enablement trackers; flag gaps and ensure documentation is current.
  • Create & distribute governance materials and collect feedback; apply lessons learned from prior separations in collaboration with EY and internal teams.
  • Support development of change impact assessments and sentiment models (e.g., change curve) to anticipate employee reactions and guide communication tone.
  • Coordinate sponsor group meetings and orientation sessions; ensure consistent messaging across internal and external communications.
  • Develop persona-based messaging for internal (leaders, managers, wired/non-wired employees) and external (customers, suppliers, ect) audiences, including tone, frequency, and key messages.
  • Participate in weekly/daily standups to share updates, surface blockers, and align with PMs
  • Collaborate with PMs to validate exit criteria, escalate RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) items, and support communication deliverables such as FAQs, cascade kits, and talking points.
  • Maintain Smartsheets, SharePoint folders, and other trackers to ensure all materials are current and accessible.
