About The Position

The Project Manager, Trauma Quality Programs (TQP) Training and Resource Development, plays a dual role as both a strategic planner and a hands-on creator of training and resource materials. This position manages the full lifecycle of projects — from concept and proposal through design, production, and implementation — while also developing and producing materials. Working collaboratively with program teams, subject matter experts, and external vendors, the Project Manager, TQP Training and Resource Development ensures that all training initiatives meet quality, relevance, and impact goals. The ideal candidate excels at both leading projects and creating content. This exempt position will report to the Manager, Program and Process Development in the Division of Research and Optimal Patient Care. It is based in our Chicago office and is a hybrid role: 3 days per week in the office/2 days per week remote. The anticipated salary range for this position is $81,400 - $95,000 (commensurate with related experience).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university is required.
  • Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in project management (small to mid-sized projects) and training/resource development is required.
  • Experience in facilitating project teams, managing budgets and timelines, and delivering projects from initiation to completion is required.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and the ability to facilitate virtual/hybrid meeting technology (Zoom, Teams, or similar).
  • Proficiency with LMS platforms is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with all levels of the organization.

Nice To Haves

  • Project Management certification (PMP) is preferred.
  • Experience in associations, professional societies, healthcare, and/or education greatly desired.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Develop project charters, timelines, budgets, and deliverable schedules.
  • Manage relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors or contractors.
  • Track progress, mitigate risks, and ensure timely, high-quality deliverables.
  • Report on project status, key metrics, and lessons learned.
  • Design and develop materials (e.g., online modules, workshops, hybrid courses, toolkits).
  • Translate complex subject matter into clear, engaging, and effective training materials and experiences.
  • Create design documents, outlines, scripts, and assessments aligned with program objectives.
  • Work with internal experts and contractors to ensure that materials meet accessibility standards and adhere to best practices.
  • Use authoring tools (e.g., Articulate 360, Rise, Captivate) and collaborate on LMS implementation.
  • Produce or oversee the creation of multimedia and interactive elements.
  • Conduct quality reviews to ensure accuracy, usability, and instructional integrity.
  • Pilot-test products and integrate feedback to improve design and performance.
  • Collect and analyze participant feedback, engagement metrics, and outcome data.
  • Recommend enhancements to improve instructional quality and participant experience.
  • Maintain organized project documentation and content libraries.
  • Work closely with program and work group leads to identify training needs and recommend solutions.
  • Lead innovation in new modalities (microlearning, blended, digital experiences).
  • Support a culture of continuous improvement, creativity, and evidence-based design.
