Under the direction of the Team Leader, Sustainability, assists in administering the design, implementation, and warranty for a variety of systemic and infrastructure projects that support sustainability improvements, such as the installation of new technology including utility monitoring, troubleshooting and improvements, solar/clean energy, etc. Monitors energy usage and expenditures to detect, investigate and resolve unusual utility usage, and coordinates across the division of facilities management and vendors on identifying and implementing related improvements. The nature of the work requires application of the principles and practices of all aspects of project management, including developing specifications budget and timelines, implementation, and clear communication with all stakeholders involved in the process. May serve as a department/division representative in a variety of meetings with government officials, school staff, school community, and the community at large to convey and receive information related to assigned projects and activities. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Ability to physically access and complete inspection activities, as required. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to travel between construction sites on an unscheduled basis. Must be willing to work a flexible schedule and be available to work outside of normal business hours as needed and occasionally attend evening or weekend Board of Education, committees, or other meetings.
