About The Position

Lewis Central Community School District is looking for dedicated Paraeducators to join our team for the 2025–26 school year. These are full-time, school-year, hourly positions supporting students across a variety of grade levels and classroom settings. Building and grade level placements will be determined during the interview process based on experience and district needs. Responsibilities

• Contributes to the social, emotional, and academic success of students.
• Provides encouragement, support, assistance, and advocacy consistently for students.
• Builds and maintains professional relationships with students and co-workers to include teachers, administrators, and other members of the student support team.
• Monitor and assist students during whole class instruction, independent work under teacher direction and other unstructured school settings.

• As a full-time school-year employee of the District you are given 2 personal days to use throughout the school year.
• You are given sick leave based on the number of years you are with the District; in your first year you are given 10 days, pro-rated for the month that you start employment.
• This position has 7 paid holidays throughout the school year. Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and the day after, Christmas Day, New Year’s Day, Good Friday and Memorial Day.
