About The Position

Quiktrak is seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong customer-facing mindset to lead software platform and system migration projects. This is a fully remote contract role focused on coordinating cross-functional teams, managing external customer relationships, and successfully delivering complex technology initiatives. You’ll work directly with customers, internal product and engineering teams, and business stakeholders to ensure smooth transitions from legacy systems to modern platforms, balancing technical execution with clear communication and change management.

Requirements

  • Proven experience managing software projects, including platform or system migrations
  • Strong customer-facing experience, including direct interaction with external clients or partners
  • Hands-on experience using Jira and/or Azure DevOps to manage project execution
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical topics to nontechnical audiences
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, risks, and dependencies in a remote environment
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Nice To Haves

  • Project Management certifications (e.g., PMP, PMI-ACP)
  • Experience leading migrations from legacy platforms to modern or cloud-based systems
  • Background in SaaS, mobile, or enterprise software environments
  • Experience working with distributed or fully remote teams

Responsibilities

  • Plan, schedule, and manage multiple software projects, with a strong focus on platform and system migrations
  • Define project scope, timelines, dependencies, risks, and success criteria for customer-facing initiatives
  • Coordinate migration activities across engineering, product, operations, and customer stakeholders
  • Maintain project plans, work items, and reporting in Jira and/or Azure DevOps
  • Track milestones, risks, and issues while ensuring scope, quality, and delivery expectations are met
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for customers during platform migrations and major software initiatives
  • Lead customer-facing kick-off meetings, status calls, and progress reviews
  • Translate technical concepts into clear, customer-friendly updates and documentation
  • Proactively manage expectations, risks, and change requests to ensure customer confidence and satisfaction
  • Facilitate remote project meetings with internal teams and external customers
  • Provide clear, concise project status reporting to internal leadership and customer stakeholders
  • Coordinate and organize technical documentation and deliverables from development teams
  • Capture lessons learned and continuously improve migration and delivery processes
  • Identify opportunities to improve migration planning, communication, and execution
  • Recommend tools or workflow improvements to enhance project visibility and delivery outcomes
