About The Position

Stratosphere Quality is seeking a high-energy, hands-on Project Manager to lead operations across the Greensboro, Durham, Raleigh, NC region and surrounding areas. This role is responsible for overseeing multiple project teams, ensuring proper coverage, quality execution, and operational efficiency across all assigned locations. This is not a desk-only role—this leader will be in the field, supporting teams, solving problems in real time, and stepping in when coverage gaps arise. If something breaks, you’re the one fixing it. This role is critical to the success of our operations. You are the bridge between our customers and our teams—ensuring quality, coverage, and consistency across the region. Requirements

  • Equivalent work experience required
  • Minimum of five (5) years of direct manufacturing experience in a QS/ISO environment
  • Minimum of two (2) years in a supervisory or leadership role
  • Proven experience managing customer relationships and employee relations
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Ability to travel within: Greensboro, Durham, Raleigh, NC and surrounding areas
  • Flexibility to support additional North Carolina locations as needed
  • Available to work assigned hours based on business demands, including: Early mornings, Evenings, Weekends

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations across multiple project sites within the assigned region
  • Ensure proper staffing levels and coverage across all active projects
  • Provide hands-on support to locations experiencing staffing shortages or operational challenges
  • Plan and execute new project setups, including layout, material handling, and staffing
  • Develop and launch new customer accounts, locations, and service lines
  • Maintain strong communication and relationships with customer contacts
  • Implement and monitor quality control processes across all projects
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and customer requirements
  • Conduct site audits to confirm best practices are being followed and understood
  • Monitor labor efficiency, productivity, and overall project profitability
  • Identify operational gaps and implement corrective actions as needed
  • Train, coach, and develop Project Supervisors and field teams
  • Ensure consistency in execution and performance across all assigned locations
