About The Position

Laboratory Resource Planning Project Manager – Central Labs Work Schedule – Monday – Friday (Day Shift) / Indianapolis, IN Labcorp is seeking a Laboratory Project Manager to join our Laboratory Resource Planning team at our location in Indianapolis, IN We are seeking a Project Manager to join our team in Central Labs in Indianapolis, IN location. In this role, you will act as the central point of contact for internal clients, ensuring seamless delivery of CLS projects from initiation through completion. You will manage communication, timelines, milestones, and financial components while coordinating cross-functional teams to deliver on client commitments. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field (chemistry, biology, etc.) and/or a combination of education and experience
  • Must be based out of Indianapolis, IN
  • Collaborative approach with a strong interpersonal skills
  • Positive / proactive mindset - always asking, "What more can I do?"
  • Robust communication skills (verbal and written) along with strong decision-making skills
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and show ability to manage time efficiently
  • Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field (chemistry, biology, etc.) and/or a combination of education and relevant project management experience

Nice To Haves

  • One year or more of Project Management experience
  • Two years or more of experience within a laboratory environment

Responsibilities

  • Develop tools to support the lab departments to gain efficiency in their daily work, like forecasting tools, resources, plans based on instruments, capacity and throughput
  • Provides oversight of selected lab-related processes in coordination with lab SMEs and management
  • The incumbent will ensure strong collaboration with the Global Lab, subject matter experts and extended team members from other departments like; Precision Medicine, Medical Affairs, Testing enablement, Quality insurance, Project management, Client Delivery, Sales and Process Excellence for delivery against the resource plans for CLS
  • Develop volume forecasting tools for the critical lab area as defined by the global laboratory management based on existing initial models
  • Build basic resources planning tools based on volume, forecasts and instruments throughput as defined by lab management
  • Deliver on-going Process Improvements that benefit the lab
  • Participate in the integration of an AI tool (LLM) for the day-to-day lab work to gain efficiency
  • Provides oversight and drives the day-to-day operational and tactical aspects of projects assigned
  • Reports project status to team, management, and stakeholders through regular status reports, management reports and communications meetings
  • Effectively works with a diverse group of team members from the CLS and IT departments
  • Participates in lab resource planning team tasks related to planning, budgeting and cross team issues
  • Effective and timely adherence to management communications, meetings and procedures
  • Provide insights for SIOP process improvement through cross functional consultations and support changes implementations for SIOP deliverables and Resource planning
  • Ability to travel when required
  • Supports process improvements initiatives
