The Project Manager III will manage the execution of Materion’s capital projects and activities and will be responsible to leverage his/her engineering expertise and tools in the delivery of capital projects from conceptual design to project completion. The Project Manager will work closely with program managers, operations leaders, engineers, and manufacturing team members to deliver projects on-time and on budget. The Project Manager shall be able to manage multiple projects that impact multiple departments across the facility as well as collaborating with teams to develop scope and costs associated with projects. This is a hands-on role that will require effective interfacing with suppliers, customers, and OEMs, as well as cross-functional teams that may be global in makeup and responsibility. You will have the opportunity to: Safety & Quality System: Comply with all site specific and companywide safety programs, trainings, and policies. Adhere to ISO 9001 procedures. Working with the internal and external teams, ensure that pre-job safety reviews are conducted during installation and commissioning phases of projects. Capital Project Design, Coordination, and Execution: Plan and lead multiple small to large capital projects including the completion or oversight or design and coordination of construction activities with internal and external teams. Manage project scope, schedules, finances, risks, and resources to meet project objectives. Use Front-End Loading (FEL) and the Stage-Gate Process for developing, leading and managing projects. Work with procurement on vendor selection, prequalification’s and bid packages and overall vendor-client relationship for successful project execution. Ensure deliverables of capital projects are fully met with associated hand-offs and sign-offs, including fully installed, commissioned, and accepted equipment and coordinating cataloguing of project and equipment documentation. Engineering and Operations Support: Work with Plant and Operations Leadership to develop approval for expenditure request documentation including presentations to senior and executive leadership. Support Process Engineering and Operations to develop the scope and costs associated with projects. Work with and support Operations to specify, procure, accept, and install capital equipment. Capital Project Portfolio Management: Work with the Capital Projects Portfolio Manager, Plant Management, the Operations Team, and other key stakeholders to support prioritization of the project portfolio for the plant.
