Summary: The Onbe Program Management Office (PMO) is seeking a seasoned and strategic Project Manager III to lead enterprise-level, cross-functional initiatives that drive business transformation, operational excellence, and innovation. This individual contributor role demands a high degree of autonomy, strategic influence, and accountability. The ideal candidate will demonstrate mastery in project leadership, stakeholder engagement, and Agile delivery, while mentoring others and shaping the evolution of PMO practices. This role reports to a senior PMO leader and operates with executive visibility and minimal oversight.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience required; advanced degree or certifications (e.g., PMP, CSM, SAFe) strongly preferred.
  • 5+ years of project management experience preferred, with at least 3 years driving initiatives of significant scope and impact, or proven ability to apply core competencies such as critical thinking, leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and problem-resolution skills
  • Demonstrated success managing enterprise-level projects in a fast-paced, Agile environment.
  • Strategic thinker with strong business acumen and the ability to connect project outcomes to organizational goals.
  • Proven ability to influence and lead without authority across diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to executive and technical audiences.
  • Deep understanding of Agile principles, frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe), and tools (e.g., Jira, Asana).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage ambiguity, drive clarity, and deliver results in dynamic environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Committed to continuous learning, feedback, and professional development—for self and others.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the payments, fintech, or disbursements industry strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead enterprise-wide, high-impact programs from initiation through delivery, ensuring alignment with strategic business goals and measurable outcomes.
  • Drive the development and execution of comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, risk, and resource management.
  • Serve as a strategic thought partner to business, product, and technology leaders, proactively identifying opportunities for innovation and transformation.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration across departments, vendors, and external partners to ensure seamless execution and stakeholder alignment.
  • Champion Agile and PMO best practices, continuously improving delivery frameworks and coaching teams on adoption.
  • Anticipate and resolve complex project risks and issues, applying sound judgment and escalation protocols.
  • Influence decision-making at all levels through clear, concise, and compelling communication.
  • Provide mentorship and coaching to junior project managers and cross-functional team members, fostering a culture of leadership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Track and report on project performance, outcomes, and value realization to executive stakeholders.
  • Contribute to PMO strategic initiatives, including process optimization, tool enhancements, and knowledge sharing.
