About The Position

Qualified candidates will encompass excellent communication and presentation skills and the ability to plan, direct, control and coordinate multiple global activities simultaneously.  A thorough knowledge of project planning and management procedures, practices and techniques are imperative.  In addition, a strong foundation, engineering, project planning and financial analysis, communications and basic qualitative/quantitative evaluation is preferred.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Operations Management, Engineering, Marketing or Project Management preferred.
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in can making industry or machine building industry or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong foundation in project planning and analysis, communications and basic qualitative/quantitative evaluation is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Estimated travel is 50% or as required.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with sales team and Systems Team to understand customer requirements, product, press, upgrade requirements.
  • Work with the different Stolle locations domestically and internationally to coordinate equipment build schedules and technical details throughout the project.
  • Solidify product specifications requiring extensive technical expertise.
  • Manage the project resources and suppliers to ensure that the facility design is completed on time and to specification.
  • Plan and modify product schedules to meet business needs.
  • Confer with Product Directors, Project Managers and Engineers to assess equipment needs and to determine customer/system requirements.
  • Review sales contracts for projects as required by Product Director.
  • Participate in weekly contract review meeting.
  • Review proposals/cost sheets and contracts for specific customer requirements.
  • Assist in finalizing specifications and maintain customer relationships.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and timelines for global integration projects. This position will proactively support the complete project life cycle (from order to shipment) ensuring timely, successful implementation of customer orders.
  • Ensure projects are well planned and organized, including documenting milestone meetings to comply with ISO 9001 standards.
  • Participate in cross-project planning to resolve conflicts with project priorities, resourcing, schedule, and scope.
  • Communicate with customers in all stages of the project life cycle. Retrieve engineering requirements, meet buy off expectations and provide support with shipped equipment.
  • Manufacturing support to prepare for equipment buy-off.
  • Track project changes and produce updated schedules as agreed with Product Director, engineering, supply chain personnel, operations and customers.
  • Receive input from Product Director and Project Engineers to develop and maintain the detailed schedules. Take ownership and independent actions to solve problems impacting project timelines as well as compile summary documents which include contributions from other team members.
  • Evaluate existing project management practices and recommend improvements to project and program management practices.
  • Assist with implementation of Project Management software.
  • Liaise with management at all levels of the business.
  • Status of project updates communicated to customers.
