Would you enjoy lining up with technical teams to deliver high‑quality products on time? If you answered yes, this may be the perfect opportunity to kickoff SMT as a Project Manager I! We are seeking to add two Project Managers (PMs) to our engineering team. One PM will be focused on our tennis products and services, while the other will focus on broadcast technology, including motorsports. The PM supporting tennis will be required to report to our Jacksonville, FL office as needed to adequately support company initiatives. In this remote position, you will manage software development projects from planning to delivery, work closely with engineering and QA teams. Some travel to live events may be required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 1+ year of hands‑on experience in software engineering project management
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in the Scrum project management methodology
  • Familiarity with standard software development tools, methods, and metrics
  • Experience researching project‑related issues and products
  • Passion for learning, applying new technologies, and improving processes
  • Ability to excel under pressure while effectively prioritizing tasks
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • A positive, solutions‑focused mindset
  • Strong punctuality and follow‑through
  • Willingness to travel to live events when needed
  • Foundational understanding of major sports, with an emphasis on motorsports and tennis

Responsibilities

  • Plan, schedule, and track project timelines, milestones, staffing, and key deliverables
  • Serve as Scrum Master within SMT’s Scrum methodology
  • Organize testing plans in collaboration with the QA team
  • Coordinate product demonstrations with Software Engineering and QA partners
  • Work with QA and development teams to ensure timely resolution of bugs for software releases
  • Identify and resolve project team issues and conflicts
  • Deliver accurate, detailed project status reports to managers and executives
  • Empower project team members to take accountability for their work
  • Provide time‑tracking information at the product, team, individual, and sprint levels
