The University of Miami/UHealth Global Institute has an exciting opportunity for a full time Project Manager to work in Miami, FL. The Project Manager provides operational and program management for the Collaborative for Community Advancement and Resilience (CCAR). The role supports the execution of CARR strategic and 2-year operational roadmap ensuring implementation of a global research, policy, and engagement agenda across countries and stakeholders. This role is responsible for translating the strategy into coordinate actions overseeing program delivery and multi-country partnerships; delivers academic and public-facing events; and ensures strong organizational management, compliance, and reporting. CORE JOB FUNCTIONS include defining the scope of projects, discussing objectives and measures, determining resources, establishing comprehensive project plans and timelines, reviewing project schedules, monitoring progress, consulting leadership on staff selection, assigning project tasks, ensuring staff orientation, managing project staff, reviewing work quality, documenting activities, creating communication schedules, preparing presentations, establishing internal controls, ensuring employee training, and providing capacity-building support to grantees, research teams, and consortium partners. Department Specific Job Functions include executing CCAR strategic and operational roadmap, coordinating research implementation and community-based initiatives, overseeing the design and rollout of a digital knowledge-sharing and gender equity research hub, coordinating with University technical teams, supporting multi-sector Advisory Board operations, conducting and synthesizing landscape reviews, contributing to research design discussions, coordinating planning and logistical arrangements for domestic and international research activities, leading coordination among national and international partners, monitoring project progress, supporting data collection and analysis, contributing to research outputs, supporting the organization of conferences, maintaining thorough documentation, assisting in drafting and revising technical and operational documents, contributing background research, budgets, timelines, and monitoring frameworks for grant submissions, coordinating implementation of research and program activities, tracking expenditures and assisting with financial reporting, providing capacity-building support to grantees, research teams, and consortium partners, facilitating learning exchanges, supporting grant compliance and reporting requirements, and identifying operational risks and implementation mitigation.
