Byrne & Jones is seeking an experienced Project Manager with Department of Transportation (DOT)/ Roadwork projects. You will manage multiple projects, including bidding, scheduling, estimating, and supervising them from concept through to completion. It's a fast-paced yet rewarding job, offering the satisfaction of knowing that our work helps build communities, one project at a time. As the number one commercial asphalt paving company in the St. Louis metro area, we aim to expand our workload within our community by undertaking roadway projects for municipalities and local governments.

Requirements

  • Experience: 5+ years in project management in DOT projects.

Nice To Haves

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Project Management: Oversee all aspects of Roadwork construction projects, from planning through completion, working with teammates and external vendors alike.
  • Estimating: Read and understand plans and specifications, and perform quantity take-offs from plans and/or field visits
  • Client Communication: Serve as clients' primary point of contact, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded.
  • Scheduling & Budgeting: Develop project timelines, track progress, and manage budgets to ensure efficient execution.
  • Team Coordination: To ensure smooth collaboration and delivery, lead project teams, including subcontractors and internal staff.
  • Problem Solving: Address issues as they arise, finding creative solutions to keep projects on track
