As a Project Manager Engineer, you will lead the development, analysis, and execution of terminal-based projects while ensuring completion within established parameters, including schedule, budget, scope, quality, and customer satisfaction. This role supports both simple and complex projects and plays a key role in improving terminal efficiency, safety, and operational performance.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of relevant experience in project management, engineering, or terminal operations.
  • Strong background in engineering, cargo operations, or maritime terminal environments.
  • Experience working on large-scale and complex projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform structural, operational, and process improvement assessments.
  • Solid understanding of terminal operations, stevedoring equipment, and infrastructure.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
  • Experience in the maritime industry is required.

  • Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time.

Nice To Haves

  • PMP certification or similar project management certification preferred.
  • Smartsheet experience preferred
  • Familiarity with operational efficiency modeling and risk analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Perform operational and project assessments to evaluate feasibility, commercial viability, and alignment with overall corporate strategy.
  • Perform site evaluations that identify inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop, document, and optimize process workflows to streamline operations and efficiency.
  • Identify and evaluate new productivity, efficiency, and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Build financial and operational models to analyze project ROI, payback periods, and overall impacts.
  • Perform reliability and performance assessments of stevedoring equipment and terminal infrastructure
  • Lead projects from a health and safety perspective, including risk assessments and hazard reduction.
  • Participate in developing the project strategy under the guidance of the Director.
  • Manage projects within approved scope, timeline, budget, and quality standards.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, requiring effective communication, negotiation, and change management skills.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across terminal operations.
