We’re looking for a Project Manager / Account Manager who takes full ownership of their projects and their customers. This is more than just managing timelines—this role is about building relationships, identifying opportunities, and driving projects from first conversation through final install. Requirements

  • Two – five years of project management and account management related experience. New business development related experience is a plus.
  • A gifted relationship builder with internal colleagues and external customers.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Own customer relationships from initial inquiry through project completion, acting as both the project lead and account manager.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, building trust and driving repeat and long-term business.
  • Review project plans and specifications to understand scope, identify opportunities, and guide customers toward the best solutions.
  • Lead inside sales efforts for your projects, including preparing quotes, refining scopes, and ensuring accurate pricing and margins.
  • Proactively follow up on quotes and open opportunities to convert them into booked orders.
  • Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities (materials, design alternatives, additional scopes) to maximize project value.
  • Collaborate with the estimation team to develop competitive and profitable project costing.
  • Coordinate daily with internal teams (customer service, engineering, production, and operations) to ensure seamless execution.
  • Manage all communication with customer contacts regarding approvals, revisions, schedules, and expectations.
  • Track and drive project timelines, ensuring deadlines are met and proactively addressing any delays or issues.
  • Attend site visits as needed for field measurements, relationship development, and project coordination.
  • Clearly communicate design intent and customer expectations to engineering to ensure accuracy before production.
  • Assist in sourcing and ordering custom or long lead-time materials to support committed timelines.
  • Monitor production progress and perform quality checks to ensure delivered products meet customer expectations.
  • Coordinate and manage order revisions while maintaining alignment with project goals and profitability.
  • Support or oversee installation coordination to ensure successful project completion and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage a pipeline of active projects and opportunities, balancing workload while maintaining strong responsiveness.
  • Typical projects include heavy millwork jobs, on-site measurement and coordination projects, new brand rollouts, and large-scale orders (such as multi-location or university projects) involving multiple components and vendors.
