About The Position

Mythics is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Project Manager to lead the implementation of a comprehensive PeopleSoft Financials and Supply Chain Management (FSCM) and Human Capital Management (HCM) solutions for state and local government projects. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully managing large-scale PeopleSoft ERP implementations, with a specific focus on grant funded sector projects and a good understanding of PeopleSoft modules. The Project Manager will be responsible for the full project life-cycle, from initial planning and scope definition through to system configuration, testing, go-live, and post-implementation support. This role requires exceptional leadership, communication, and risk management skills to ensure the project is delivered on time, within budget, and in full compliance with all federal regulations and standards. Assigned projects are of high value, risk, and/or complexity with contracts up to $10M USD. Delivery quality is expected to be consistent with client requirements and compliant with contracted terms, while adhering to Mythics’ methodology and modern best practices. Project Manager 2's must be able to perform duties with minimal oversight, working under only very general direction. They must independently collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to derive, develop, and implement project solutions, demonstrating considerable judgment and initiative. This is a REMOTE opportunity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of work experience with 7+ years of experience in a project management or program management position.
  • At least 5 years of experience leading and managing PeopleSoft application implementations.
  • 2+ years of consulting experience with Public Sector customers.
  • Demonstrated experience managing at least one full-lifecycle PeopleSoft FSCM implementations.
  • Experience with technical teams ranging from 1 to 20 technical consultants
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders
  • US based resource with US Citizenship or Green Card holder.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 50%.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and Project applications
  • Superior analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
  • Understand revenue models, P/L, cost-to-completion projections and be able to make decisions independently, in-line with business plan objectives
  • Understand consulting pricing models and billing procedures
  • Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to present complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Nice To Haves

  • PMP or other relevant PMI certification (PfMP or PgMP) is preferred.
  • Experience with Oracle Cloud Applications, OCI, Oracle Database, or Exadata.
  • Experience with Agile project management practices such as Scrum, SAFe, or Kanban.
  • Experience with ERP or HCM applications such as Oracle EBusiness, PeopleSoft, NetSuite, Workday, JD Edwards, or SAP HANA.
  • Agile delivery certification and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the customer, stakeholders, and the project team.
  • Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, including scope, budget, schedule, and resource allocation.
  • Lead the project team, providing guidance and direction to functional, technical, and change management resources.
  • Conduct regular status meetings, prepare project reports, and provide transparent communication to all stakeholders.
  • Manage the end-to-end implementation of or enhancements to PeopleSoft FSCM modules (e.g., General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Purchasing, Grants, Project Costing, Customer Contracts, Billing and Accounts Receivable) and integration from HCM modules (e.g., Payroll, Time & Labor).
  • Ensure all project activities, from requirements gathering and design to development and testing, align with the defined scope and requirements.
  • Assist with the best practices
  • Oversee system configuration and data migration efforts to ensure accuracy and integrity.
  • Collaborate with technical leads to manage integration points between PeopleSoft and other legacy or third-party systems.
  • Manage all project-related risks and issues, developing and executing mitigation strategies in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all project documentation is maintained and submitted in accordance with the scope requirements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including executive leadership, end-users, and external partners.
  • Assist in developing and executing a robust change management plan to ensure smooth user adoption and minimize disruption.
  • Facilitate requirements gathering sessions with customer Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to translate business needs into technical specifications.
