About The Position

Canvas is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Project Management Support professional to provide Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) to the 715th Test Squadron at the Arnold Engineering Development Complex (AEDC). The 715th Test Squadron is at the forefront of test and evaluation of state-of-the-art hypersonic systems in AEDC test facilities. This role is critical for providing program support to improve project reporting, decision-making, and administration for the squadron's vital mission. The ideal candidate will assist in managing and coordinating complex aerospace test projects, ensuring that project goals are met on time and within budget. You will work as part of a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team of government and contractor personnel focused on advancing the nation's hypersonic testing capabilities. Provides knowledge and experience in acquisition Project Management and general organizational work now (philosophy, policies and procedures) to procurement activities, project/program management tasks, acquisition programs and organizational activities. Support will not include counseling, mentoring, judgmental/discretionary decisions or other activities related to supervision of Government personnel.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Management, Engineering, or a related technical field).
  • Demonstrated experience in a project or program support role, preferably within a Department of Defense (DoD) or aerospace environment.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • An active DoD Secret security clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain one.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience providing A&AS support to a government or military organization.
  • Familiarity with the operations of the Arnold Engineering Development Complex (AEDC) and its test facilities.
  • Understanding of aerospace and defense acquisition and testing processes.
  • Knowledge of hypersonic systems or test and evaluation is a significant plus.

Responsibilities

  • Project Coordination: Assist in the planning, execution, and monitoring of test projects, from initial concept through to data analysis and final reporting.
  • Administrative & Management Support: Provide assistance and advice for the efficient management and operation of the organization, contributing to improved program management and project monitoring.
  • Stakeholder Interface: Act as a liaison between government customers, engineering teams, and project leadership to ensure clear communication and alignment of project objectives.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Support the development and maintenance of project documentation, including schedules, test plans, progress reports, project management reviews and technical summaries.
  • Process Improvement: Assist in identifying opportunities to improve the effectiveness of management processes and procedures within the squadron.
