POSITION SCOPE: Manages multiple construction projects and teams simultaneously ensuring accountability, budgetary and completion target success. Oversees all project planning, scheduling, budgeting and implementation throughout the project lifecycle. Mentors team for long-term growth within the organization.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in construction management or equivalent years of experience.
  • 10+ years of overall professional construction experience in a management or executive role.
  • 10+ years of commercial construction experience.
  • 10+ years of leadership/team management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of managing project finances for multiple projects.
  • Extensive and demonstrated experience managing multiple project teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to be strategic, balancing both short- and long-term goals.
  • Exemplifies emotional intelligence and can mentor team in addressing client needs.
  • Innovative problem solver. Maintains a proactive approach and sound judgement.
  • Exemplary leadership qualities.
  • Deadline and detail oriented.
  • Experience with change management and holding teams accountable.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including MS Project.
  • Familiar with project management software, ideally Procore.
  • Must be able to successfully meet the requirements of a pre-employment assessment and background check.

Responsibilities

  • Manages multiple construction projects and teams to ensure they adhere to the Company’s values of quality, dependability, and integrity.
  • Oversees the project budget for multiple projects simultaneously. Holds project team accountable to stay on-time and on-budget.
  • Serves as a project ambassador and the primary contact with owners and design partners ensuring clients’ needs and expectations are met.
  • Proactively and creatively identifies construction challenges and issues. Works with project team to find immediate solutions and develop long-term strategies to minimize hurdles in the future.
  • Coaches and guides the project team to effectively execute, deliver and meet project deadlines.
  • Embodies a collaborative environment and seeks feedback from project team and embraces those who challenge the status quo. Finds a balance between directing vs. advising. Manages down, up and externally.
  • Maintains a high level of accountability with themselves and team members. Leads by example and can influence others. Mentors team members, providing motivating opportunities to allow them to grow personally and professionally.
  • Assesses and identifies trends and opportunities for improvement through data-based decision making.
  • Makes recommendations to the Senior Vice Presidents regarding workforce management resource allocation.
  • Develops, cultivates and maintains internal and external relationships for long-term success. Builds a rapport and fosters trust based interactions.
  • Develops relationships that create business development opportunities.
