About The Position

Since 2001, Engineered Equipment Inc. (EEI) has been delivering smart, reliable HVAC solutions across Oklahoma, growing from a two-person team to over 50 employees, serving customers from offices in OKC and Tulsa. EEI partners with over 40 top manufacturers to provide high-performance systems backed by expert support. This is an entry-level Project Engineer role focused on learning all aspects of EEI’s products and systems for estimating and managing projects. The individual will be responsible for coordinating submittals, equipment selection, pricing, and ship dates for each project. The position requires strong detail orientation, customer service skills, and excellent organizational abilities. High levels of oral and written correspondence with the Sales Team, Customers, and Manufacturers are essential to ensure timely project completion and customer satisfaction. The Project Engineer must be able to work effectively with others in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task, deal with ambiguity and manage high volume projects
  • Strong PC skills in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
  • Ability to write correspondence
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
  • Mental stamina for problem solving and prioritizing multiple tasks

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of MEP consulting, architecture, design, CAD, general contracting, mechanical contracting, engineering or construction industry

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain job files for each project throughout its duration
  • Optimize the project through the stages of product selection, specifications, plans, estimates, proposals, value engineering and redesigns
  • Manage multiple projects on an ongoing basis
  • Communicate with owners, architects, MEP Consultants and General, Mechanical and Electrical Contractors
  • Organize project related data for order entry
  • Respond to and track IOM & Submittal requests
  • Read, understand and interpret building plans & specifications
  • Develop and grow relationships with customers, contractors, project engineers and manufacturers
  • Determine project requirements, constraints, and sales team responsibilities to meet all of the customer’s system design, installation and maintenance expectations
  • Investigate concerns, implement corrective action and communicate with customers and co-workers as necessary to maximize customer satisfaction
