Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a Summer 2026 Intern Project Engineer to support the Hypersonic Strike Weapon Systems (HSWS) program. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the Flight Systems Futures Lead and Flight Systems Production Integration Strategy Lead with development of future needs of the program. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of basic system engineering thought-process, project engineering, and thinking critically across multi-domain teams and assignments. This intern position requires close coordination with internal Lockheed Martin Subject Matter Experts. Must be able to work effectively in fast paced and dynamic environments and able to learn across all business functions while supporting Senior Manager level assignments. Must be a US Citizen. This position will require a government security clearance.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in engineering/technical discipline or related experience
  • Strong organization, analytical, presentation, communications, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite tools
  • Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance
  • Must be a US Citizen
