About The Position

Infrastructure Engineering Inc. Project Engineer II Conceive, design, build, operate, construct, and maintain multifaceted infrastructure projects and systems using civil engineering principles, methodologies, and formulas in the areas of Bridges/Structural (bridges, structure evaluation, retaining walls, underground structures, large drainage facilities, parking facilities), Transportation (road/highway, traffic, aviation, and transit), and Construction Engineering and Inspection (value engineering, schedule and budget evaluations, quality control and assurance, and constructability reviews) Analyze long range plans, survey reports, maps, and other data to plan and design civil engineering projects in areas such as Bridges/Structural, Transportation, Site/Civil, and Construction Engineering while also analyzing and interpreting a variety of advanced technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form Plan and design, using computer design software and programs such as AutoCAD, Autodesk Civil 3D, and Bluebeam Revu, multifaceted bridge structures and transportation systems in line with industry and government regulations Prepare quantity calculations and cost estimates for each project assigned Analyze the results of tests on building materials such as cement concrete on bridge and structural projects in order to determine the adequacy and strength of foundations, while implementing civil engineering quality control and continuous improvement standards and measures Compute and analyze construction costs, government regulations, potential environmental hazards, and other factors during the civil engineering planning and risk-analysis stages of a project Prepare cost estimates for materials, equipment, and labor to determine a project’s economic feasibility Analyze and test site layouts, reference points, grades, and elevations, and prepare reports to assist supervisory Professional Engineers, construction, and surveying teams Perform frequent client interaction and coordination, lead business development activities and regional strategies targeting potential clients with new civil engineering project opportunities, and carry out marketing, inspection, project management, and document control

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Systems Engineering, or Materials Science and Engineering is required (a Foreign Educational Equivalent is acceptable).
  • 6 months of experience as a CADD Technician, Civil Engineer, or Design Engineer.
  • Education or experience (which may have been gained concurrently) must include at least 6 months of demonstrated ability in utilizing the following computer design software and programs: AutoCAD; Autodesk Civil 3D; and Bluebeam Revu.
