About The Position

We are looking for a Project Engineer II to join our team and support the Agricultural Ingredients business in Livingston, California. You will report directly to the Engineering Manager and provide expertise in the design, modification, construction, and startup of capital projects for Sensient Agricultural Ingredients. You’ll assist in trouble shooting equipment and process problems. Coordinate the work of outside engineering firms or contractors working on Sensient projects. Approximately 10% travel. What you’ll do:

Requirements

• 3+ years of engineering experience within a manufacturing facility
• Prior CapEx experience, preferably in a lead role
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering – preferred Chemical or Mechanical
• Working knowledge of drafting tools such as AutoCAD and AutoCad Inventor
• Working knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models

Responsibilities

• Develop, engineer, implement and monitor all aspects of projects including timelines
• Manage various trades during projects, as assigned, to ensure proper building construction and installation of equipment occurs on schedule
• Perform preliminary engineering for the various departments by concepting solutions and designing modifications to existing buildings, equipment, and processes. This includes equipment sizing, equipment arrangements and alternates, control systems, and equipment cost estimates and quotes
• Assume project manager responsibilities, when assigned, for capital projects while responsible for designing and installation requirements for new processes or modifications to existing processes
