About The Position

ONLY OPEN TO CURRENT FULL-TIME ANNUALLY PAID PARKS EMPLOYEES Major Responsibilities - Under general direction, with latitude for initiative and judgment, perform high-level analytical and administrative work in the Office of the Deputy Commissioner for Administration. - Provide ongoing administrative support as needed, including scheduling, developing agendas, preparing briefings, serving as the liaison with other divisions, following up and coordinating. Work on presentations and attend meetings. - With some guidance and independence, manage projects and assignments to successful outcomes. - Conduct research on best practices and policies and write quality reports. - Provide support in the planning and evaluation of community development programs for Parks. Develop budgets and advocate for funding to support agency and community needs. Involve and leverage stakeholders’ participation and expertise. - Consistently provide excellent customer service and quality work in all projects and interactions. Work on special assignments as directed.

Requirements

  • A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties described above; or
  • High school graduation or equivalent and six years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties as described above; or
  • Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1" or "2" above. However, all candidates must have at least one year of experience as described in "1" above.
