About The Position

RK&K is seeking a Roadway Project Delivery Leader with Alternate Delivery experience to expand our Colorado based transportation design and project delivery services. This is a client-facing position responsible for assisting federal, state, and local clients deliver transportation infrastructure projects through traditional design contracts as well as alternative delivery procurement. This position includes significant potential for professional growth and leadership through expansion of RK&K’s design services in Colorado and support of RK&K’s Alternative Delivery Services nationally.  This position will be based in RK&K’s Lakewood, Colorado office.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of transportation infrastructure design or delivery
  • Bachelor’s degree or better in engineering
  • Professional Engineering License in Colorado or ability to obtain within 6 months of employment

Nice To Haves

  • Client facing experience with Federal, State, or local infrastructure agencies
  • Proven communication, collaboration, and negotiation skills
  • Leading and documenting effective and efficient team meetings including project execution across multiple office locations
  • Experience with alternative delivery procurement methodologies including design-build, progressive design-build, CMAR, CMGC, and/or P3
  • Full time. Location will be based in RK&K’s Denver, Colorado office with potential hybrid work environment
  • Occasional, short-term project-based travel required

Responsibilities

  • Ability to perform, lead, and mentor others in all aspects of Highway, Roadway and Trail projects for a variety of clients
  • Provide task and project leadership across all engineering disciplines
  • Identify and market prospective clients in the Colorado region
  • Develop and manage project proposals, schedules, staffing, and budgets
  • Assist in the development of RFP documents for infrastructure projects ranging in size from $1M to $1B across RK&K’s national footprint
  • Perform project and program-based risk analysis and mitigation development for all phases of project development and delivery
  • Provide analysis, market research, and recommendation of procurement type selection and procurement procedures
  • Participate in industry engagement; pre-proposal meetings; RFI responses; one-on-one meetings; alternative technical concept reviews; and evaluation of qualifications, technical, and price proposals on behalf of owners
