About The Position

AECOM has an excellent career opportunity for a creative and talented Project Coordinator to support implementation of a U.S. Department of State (DOS) funded global infrastructure and investment activity. The Partnership for Global Infrastructure and Investment (PGI) Fund Task Order serves as a project preparation platform providing infrastructure transaction advisory services and technical assistance on a flexible, rapid response basis to specific public or private sector projects to help resolve legal, technical, or regulatory barriers holding back investors or deal closure, and otherwise help to accelerate project development and execution. The Project Coordinator will support the project’s core management team to undertake a wide range of day-to-day project coordination and operational tasks related to implementation of infrastructure development activities across the globe. This position will report to AECOM’s East Region Water Business Line in Chelmsford, MA, US and can be remote for qualified candidates currently living in the Continental United States. The position may include some intermittent domestic and international travel. The Project Coordinator will be responsible for the following tasks:

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in International Affairs, Business Administration, Economics, Engineering plus two years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • Experience supporting implementation of USAID, Department of State, Millenium Challenge Corporation, or other federally funded projects.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills in English.
  • Willingness to work across multiple time zones.

  • Fluency in French, Spanish, Portuguese or other language.

Responsibilities

  • Support the project management team in the development and monitoring of project workplans and budgets, including technical deliverables, assist with financial and project performance reviews, and contribute to client and corporate reporting requirements.
  • Assist the project management team and international field teams in coordinating implementation of specific work assignments, including mobilizing and assisting technical assistance teams and tracking project implementation from activity design and launch through to completion.
  • Support development of project communications and reporting products, including preparing, editing, and formatting reports, PowerPoint decks, reports, briefs, and other project deliverables.
  • Assist the project management team in ensuring project compliance with all contractual requirements and corporate policies.
  • Coordinate and contribute to identification of internal and external experts to support work assignment delivery.
  • Assist with training of project long- and short-term staff on project operational requirements, as required.
  • Help create, manage and maintain operating systems, tools and procedures to strengthen project delivery and efficiency in line with AECOM project management requirements, including but not limited to the project operations manual, procurement plans, and budgeting tools.
  • Conduct periodic reviews and/or audits of project activities to ensure adherence to operational policies, systems, and regulations across the countries of implementation.
  • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy and compliance, correct invoicing issues, including tracking and follow up to resolution.
  • Assist in preparing project financials including budget estimates, spending reports, and accruals reports.
  • Provide administrative and logistical support for daily project and team activities including managing the project files, calendars, agendas, meeting notes, coordinating international travel and meeting spaces.
  • Support engagement of subcontractors, consultants, and/or other vendors by assisting with collecting necessary documentation and preparing subcontract/purchase order requests and modifications.
  • Support project inventory management, compliance, and reporting requirements.
