Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field (or equivalent relevant experience)
  • 0-2+ years of experience in construction, field engineering, or job costing (preferred, not required)
  • Strong working knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, equipment, and materials
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate clearly and work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Responsibilities

  • Support project managers, supervisors, and field crews to ensure work meets engineering standards, codes, specifications, and budget requirements
  • Interpret construction drawings and design documents for field installation
  • Track costs, quantities, and progress using job cost control systems
  • Assist with material takeoffs, progress tracking, and percent-complete reporting
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation including schedules, daily reports, submittals, and material requirements
  • Develop sketches, drawings, and phasing plans to support construction activities
  • Prepare change documentation, as-built drawings, and field design revisions
  • Verify completed work complies with contract documents and specifications
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, clients, and owner representatives as needed
  • Participate in project meetings and support ongoing field coordination
