Position Summary: The Project Coordinator is responsible for supporting internal teams with all aspects of stormwater lift station projects from inception to conclusion in a timely, safe and profitable manner. Documentation and execution are very important in this role to maintain detail records of project’s development. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required with comparable experience.
  • Minimum 2 years experience within Project Management field; handling stormwater lift stations
  • Strong communication skills both verbally and written.
  • Proficient and comfortable with presenting to decision makers and owners
  • Positive attitude with an eagerness to grow within an organization
  • Great organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and resources simultaneously.

Responsibilities

  • Assists with planning, executing and tracking projects to ensure timely and quality delivery.
  • Meets project commitments while ensuring all projects are delivered on-time, within scope of work / budget.
  • Creates and maintains project binders.
  • Proactively communicates progress with deliverables and tasks.
  • Identifies opportunities for process improvements within project scope.
  • Manages internal and external expectations for the customer and all stakeholders Lien waivers / contracts
  • Works within a detailed project plan to track and document progress.
  • Uses appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs.
  • Communicates with both internal team and external customers on the status of projects and any future requirements.
  • Assists in the creation and execution of operational plans to ensure project success, including permitting, material and equipment procurement, labor management, quality control, safety analysis, scheduling, etc.
  • Assists in documenting and communicating project status, performance, improvements and change orders through to completion of each project.
  • Represents the Company in project/client meetings, when necessary, providing skilled technical project advice and recommendations.
  • Assist in acquiring, setting-up, and managing subcontractor(s) needed for projects including writing scopes of work and executing subcontract agreements.
  • Helps ensure all project activities progress according to pre-determined schedule.
  • Performs site visits and monitors all progress of each job.
  • Understands materials and equipment used in the industry.
  • Acts as a role model and leader within and outside of the department.
  • Works closely with and communicates regularly with Directors, Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, Superintendents, Field Crews and Subcontractors.
