Kenaitze's Yinihugheltani Project is a five-year grant award under SAMHSA's (Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration) Native Connections grant. The priority of the national grant program is to reduce suicidal behavior and substance use among Native youth. The Project Coordinator leads the Youth Club as a mentor, adult supervisor, and coach, with a goal of fostering and developing youth leadership. The Project Coordinator supervises the Youth Outreach and Support Specialist in order to accomplish all Youth Club objectives. The Project Coordinator keeps the Behavioral Health Manager informed of all Yinihugheltani activities. This position will also work to gather, review, and analyze data relevant to the full development of the grant. It is the intent of this job description to highlight the essential functions of the position; however, it is not an all-inclusive list. The incumbent may be called upon and required to follow or perform other duties and tasks requested by his/her supervisor, consistent with the purpose of the position, department and/or the Kenaitze Indian Tribe's objectives.
