About The Position

Ohio Valley Goodwill Industries is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing job training, employment placement, and support services for individuals with disabilities and other barriers to employment. With a focus on empowering individuals to achieve greater independence and inclusion in the community, Ohio Valley Goodwill has been serving the Greater Cincinnati area for over 100 years. The Project Coordinator plays a central role in ensuring that special projects are thoroughly vetted, properly resourced, and executed effectively. This role supports the evaluation, planning, and coordination of cross-functional initiatives from concept through completion. The Project Coordinator works closely with business leaders and functional teams to clarify project scope, estimate required resources, develop financial pro-formas when investment is required, and ensure stakeholder alignment before projects begin. Once projects are approved and launched, the Project Coordinator coordinates activities, monitors progress against the project plan, and maintains all project documentation to ensure successful execution.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in project coordination, project management support, operations, or business analysis.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams on complex initiatives.
  • Strong organizational and project coordination skills.
  • Ability to structure and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in project planning tools, documentation management, and workflow tracking.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools, including RACI frameworks.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to estimate resource requirements and project timelines.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder facilitation skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong documentation and follow-through capabilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Finance, Operations, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience building basic financial models or pro-formas is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the intake and preliminary vetting of special projects and strategic initiatives.
  • Work with project sponsors to clarify objectives, scope, deliverables, and success metrics.
  • Assess feasibility by identifying resource requirements, timelines, and potential risks.
  • Develop initial project frameworks to determine whether initiatives should advance to planning.
  • Facilitate the development of project plans that clearly outline milestones, deliverables, and timelines.
  • Identify and estimate the personnel, financial, and operational resources required to complete projects.
  • Develop financial pro-formas and cost estimates for projects requiring capital or operational investment.
  • Utilize RACI (Responsible, Accountable, Consulted, Informed) frameworks to clarify roles and responsibilities across teams.
  • Ensure cross-functional stakeholders are identified and engaged early in the planning process.
  • Coordinate discussions with key stakeholders to confirm project scope, resources, and responsibilities.
  • Facilitate alignment and secure buy-in before projects formally launch.
  • Surface and resolve potential conflicts or gaps in ownership during the planning stage.
  • Track project progress against milestones, deliverables, and timelines.
  • Coordinate project meetings, status updates, and follow-ups to ensure accountability.
  • Monitor completion of critical project steps and escalate issues when necessary.
  • Support project leaders by maintaining visibility into risks, dependencies, and schedule impacts.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including charters, plans, timelines, financial models, and status reports.
  • Track decisions, approvals, and key project milestones.
  • Ensure project records are organized and accessible for leadership review and future reference.
  • Provide regular status updates to project sponsors and leadership.
