About The Position

Studio in a School (Studio) is seeking a motivated, organized, and collaborative Seasonal Part-time Project Coordinator to support the Arts Intern College Program in Cleveland. The Project Coordinator plays a crucial role in the success of the Arts Intern College Program through intern engagement, program facilitation, data oversight, and event coordination throughout the summer program cycle. The ideal candidate has experience in arts education or arts administration, is skilled at mentoring emerging professionals, and thrives in both independent and collaborative work environments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Art Education, Art Administration, and Art History.
  • Previous experience working with arts organizations or mentoring young professionals in an educational capacity.
  • Proficiency in relevant applications (particularly Excel) and Google Suite.
  • Knowledge of arts and cultural organizations in Cleveland, with a passion for nurturing the next generation of arts professionals.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, adapting to evolving priorities and needs.
  • Commitment to the mission of Studio in a School.
  • Self-motivation, assertiveness, positive demeanor, and willingness to work in a collaborative team environment.
  • Strong work ethic; highly organized and able to anticipate, plan for, and reach deadlines.
  • Willingness to take the initiative and prioritize and manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to effectively coordinate program activities and engage diverse stakeholders.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills and a high comfort level communicating with various stakeholders.
  • Practiced in handling confidential information and appropriate use of discretion.

Responsibilities

  • Attend project coordinator orientation to understand job responsibilities.
  • Prepare and confirm intern onboarding materials.
  • Facilitate intern orientation during summer program initial meeting.
  • Conduct small in-person group intern discussions during cohort days to assess interns' weekly progress.
  • Schedule group discussions during Friday cohort days as a structured time with interns to provide support, review their weekly logs and in-person communication.
  • Review interns' weekly logs and provide constructive feedback to ensure clarity, accuracy, and reflection on their learning journey.
  • Facilitate cohort discussions following program activities to promote collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking aligned with program objectives.
  • Identify and bring to the director's attention any individual or group challenges within the cohort.
  • Provide technical support to interns on final project submissions and review their presentations.
  • Data, Reporting, and Survey Oversight: Keep the Arts Intern College Team informed of progress and any issues or concerns.
  • Confirm intern hours with site supervisors.
  • Maintain accurate intern documentation and keep the Arts Intern College Team informed.
  • Collaborate in creating and supervising weekly Program Days throughout the summer for the cohort, which includes coordinating guest speakers, planning visits to arts organizations, and managing logistics such as setup and breakdown.
  • Facilitate a workshop or professional development session and respond to interns’ questions or concerns.
