About The Position

AVT Simulation, a leading government contracting company in the field of simulation and training solutions, is currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Financial Analyst professional to join our team in Orlando. As a Project Controller, you will play a crucial role in supporting the financial management of our programs and contracts as well as providing financial insights, analysis, and support to optimize AVT Simulation’s financial performance and decision-making processes. You will be responsible for monitoring project costs, preparing financial reports, analyzing financial data, and providing recommendations to enhance program profitability. This role requires strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. This is an onsite position located in Orlando, FL. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Proficient in financial modeling and data analysis using tools such as Microsoft Excel.
  • Understanding of financial principles, budgeting, and cost control.
  • Proven experience in program finance, financial analysis, or a similar role.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for documentation and intra- team/interdisciplinary communication.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documentation.
  • Ability to analyze problems using scientific and logical thinking.

  • Prior experience in simulation, training, or aerospace industries is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with program managers and cross-functional teams to develop program budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
  • Analyze financial data and performance metrics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for cost optimization and revenue growth.
  • Monitor and track project costs, ensuring adherence to budgets and identifying any variances.
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports, including revenue forecasts, cost analysis, and profitability assessments.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of annual budgets and long-term financial plans. Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure budgetary goals align with business objectives.
  • Brief the findings of the analysis to leadership monthly.
  • Establish and maintain a relationship with our customers.
  • Develop cash flow projections based on historical data, market trends, or other data sources.
  • Collaborate with accounting teams to ensure accurate and timely invoicing.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies, procedures, and controls.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices, regulations, and compliance requirements related to program finance.
  • Provide financial guidance and support to program managers and stakeholders.
  • Support internal and external audits as necessary.
