About The Position

AECOM has a position available for a Project Commercial Director to join our Transportation Construction Business Line supporting large multi-year projects as part of the Transportation PM/CM team. The projects include Transit infrastructure improvements throughout the NY Metro Region and in New Jersey. This individual will Serve as top advisor for Commercial and Contractual issues on a signature mega project or on various similar projects of large scope and complexity. This position will report to NY Metro Transportation Sr Director for PMCM Services and will have considerable interaction with AECOM Project Managers and client managers while managing commercial and contractual components of AECOM’s PM/CM work in NY and NJ. The responsibilities for position will include but are not limited to the following: Accountable for all activities related to the management of the project budget and schedule. Resolves commercial project issues. Manages commercial activities achieving quality outcomes, financial performance and client satisfaction. Acts as primary point of contact with client and has full responsibility for project commercial activities. Identify conditions that could lead to a change orders or claims. Review contract documents and advise regarding procedures and policy within. When necessary, advise regarding, and validate the justification for the additional work orders. Negotiate design and/or construction change orders, preparing and processing the change order forms in accordance with procedures and guidelines. Manage the preparation of additional work order packages working in conjunction with applicable staff and agency procurement personnel. Review the contract documents and validate the justification for the additional work orders. Manage the development of scopes of work and cost estimates. Coordinate, negotiate, and process all change orders. Analyze schedule and cost impact of all additional work orders. Work together with project teams to analyze schedule impacts of additional work and potential claims. Help to prepare and submit claims and claim responses as required. Management of project tasks, DBE compliance, insurance compliance, railroad-supplied service requests, change order and claim administration and close-out administration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering + 12 years of related experience, including 4 years of leadership.
  • NY PE
  • Experience working with NYCDOT, MTA, PANYNJ, NYSDOT, NYCDDC and NYCDOT
  • Design Build Experience on NY Metro projects
