Lawrence Group is seeking Project Architects to assist with our growing Higher Education project needs in our St. Louis office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in architectural design, project management, and a proven track record of delivering successful projects in the student housing and higher education markets. They will play a key role in working on the project team and ensuring the successful execution of projects from concept through completion.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in architecture from an accredited institution.
• Licensed Architect with 5-10 years of experience in design and architecture preferred.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects from concept to completion.
• Proficiency in Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and other relevant design software.
• Strong design sensibility and a portfolio showcasing innovative and creative student housing and higher education projects.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with clients, consultants, and project teams.
• Proven leadership abilities, with experience leading project teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and standards related to higher education design, as well as sustainable design principles and practices.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to think critically and analytically.

• LEED accreditation and/or other relevant certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and development of student housing and higher education projects from concept through construction administration, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their goals and requirements, and translate them into innovative design solutions that exceed expectations.
• Collaborate with project teams, including architects, designers, engineers, and consultants, to ensure effective communication, coordination, and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
• Conduct site visits, assessments, and analysis to inform design decisions and ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
• Prepare and present design concepts, drawings, renderings, and presentations to clients, stakeholders, and project teams.
• Lead the preparation of construction documents, specifications, and bid packages, and coordinate with contractors and vendors during the construction phase.
• Monitor project progress, budgets, and schedules, and proactively identify and address any issues or risks that may impact project outcomes.
• Foster a creative and collaborative work environment, mentor junior staff, and contribute to the continuous improvement of architectural processes and practices.
• Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to hospitality design, sustainability, and building performance.
