Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
  • 1-2 years of related accounting experience
  • Team player who is organized, proactive, self-directed, conscientious and assumes accountability and responsibility for specific performance and work product
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong computer skills

Responsibilities

  • Act as a mini-controller for a portfolio of assets. Perform all related accounting functions associated with these projects, including account reconciliations and financial statements
  • Explain monthly budget vs. actual and period-over-period actual actual variances. This includes balance sheet and income statement analytics that are presented to our executive team, our auditors, and used as support for our financial filings
  • Produce monthly, quarterly, or annual reporting for internal purposes, JV partners, investors and lenders
  • Prepare monthly cash distributions and related reporting for investors and partners
  • Close-knit interaction with on-site property and asset management teams throughout the monthly close process, including hosting pre-close calls
  • Work with third party auditors on year-end tax and audit requests
  • Support / collaborate with other departments on asset acquisitions, dispositions, monthly draws, and cash management needs, among other items
