About The Position

Join a dynamic and expanding team focused on acquiring and developing utility-scale projects. This role is crucial in supporting financial operations and ensuring accurate financial tracking and timely processing within a growing team. The accountant will manage accounting tasks, budget submissions, and consultant payments, alleviating workload from an overextended analyst.

Requirements

Strong foundation in accounting principles with 3–5 years of experience.
Proficiency in SAP and advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and formulas.
High level of accuracy and diligence in handling financial data.
Ability to independently track down information and resolve discrepancies.
Reliability and consistency in managing sensitive financial information.

Nice To Haves

Experience with SAP Ariba.
Familiarity with non-PO invoice processing.
Exposure to project-based accounting or hybrid analyst/accountant roles.
Energy industry experience is beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities

Track, validate, and reconcile all invoices to ensure they are captured in Ariba, paid, and flow through the actuals.
Ensure WSB orders are correctly set up and coordinate with property accounting to journal all prior costs accurately.
Update budgets and forecasts and respond to monthly reporting in BPC and variance explanation requests to FP&A.
Reconcile actual spend with EMC approvals, contracted activities and amounts, forecasts, and update forecasts for future periods.
Book accruals for activities performed but not yet invoiced or paid.
