We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Programming & Events Assistant to join our team. This role provides an excellent opportunity for a student to gain hands-on experience in office administration, program development, and event management while contributing to the smooth operation of our department. The Program & Events Assistant would be responsible for creating events and activities for Startup Scholars and College Track students throughout the academic year. The ideal candidate will be proactive, organized, and eager to learn.

Requirements

  • Current students enrolled at SFBU via College Track
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Professional demeanor and positive attitude.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with day-to-day office operations, including making phone calls, managing emails, and other correspondence.
  • Maintain and organize office files
  • Prepare and edit documents, reports, and presentations as needed.
  • Enter and update data in various databases and systems.
  • Ensure accuracy and confidentiality of information.
  • Assist with scheduling meetings, appointments, and events.
  • Coordinate logistics for meetings, including room reservations and equipment setup.
  • Draft and distribute internal and external communications, such as emails, memos, and newsletters.
  • Conduct research on various topics as assigned.
  • Assist with special projects and initiatives to support department goals.
  • Provide general support to the team as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
