About The Position

Under the general supervision of the Program Manager I, the Program Training Specialist supports, delivers, and implements training curriculum to assigned teams and departments. This role partners with the Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) team to assess current and future training needs, ensuring the application of best practices and compliance with organizational policies and external regulations. This position is full time onsite, 40 hours per week; will work a traditional schedule.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5 years of proven experience in developing and delivering training programs, with a strong emphasis on onboarding and work process training.
  • Experience in implementing successful onboarding programs that accelerate new hire time-to-productivity.
  • OR any combination of education and experience which would enable the candidate to successfully perform the functions of the position
  • Technical Requirements – Intermediate Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies
  • Proficiency in various training delivery methods, including classroom training, e-learning, webinars, and blended learning approaches.
  • Proficiency in using Learning Management Systems (LMS) for content delivery, tracking, and reporting.

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year of experience in a public agency, case management, social services, or early childhood program.
  • Hold an Associate Professional in Talent Development (APTD) certification from the Association for Talent Development, or an equivalent certification
  • Bilingual preferred. Ability to converse, write and/or translate in English and Armenian / Spanish

Responsibilities

  • Assess training needs through surveys, interviews, and performance evaluations.
  • Design and develop engaging training materials and programs.
  • Collaborate with department leaders to understand team-specific training requirements.
  • Stay current with trends in learning and development.
  • Facilitate training sessions, workshops, and seminars.
  • Evaluate and enhance training effectiveness.
  • Implement e-learning tools and technologies.
  • Provide coaching and ongoing learning support.
  • Track training outcomes and manage training records.
