REASONS PROGRAM THERAPIST
About The Position
Reasons Eating Disorder Center (Reasons) is seeking therapists to provide compassionate care to diverse patients for their residential treatment facilities located in intimate six-bed houses in the Pasadena and Arcadia neighborhoods of the Los Angeles area. The Program Therapist performs functions including providing individual, family, and group therapy to residents with a primary eating disorder diagnosis. The successful candidate will function as part of a treatment team, delivering high-quality care alongside the psychiatrist, Registered Dietitian, medical staff, and dedicated support service staff in a milieu environment. Reasons is part of Universal Health Services, Inc. (UHS), one of the nation's largest providers of hospital and healthcare services, with approximately 101,500 employees.
Requirements
- Master's Degree required from an accredited college or university
Nice To Haves
- Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work or a related mental health field
- Previous experience working with eating disorders, trauma, substance use and LGBTQIA+ communities
- Direct experience in family and group therapies, crisis intervention, and treatment skills
- Strong clinical assessment skills
- Bilingual (Spanish)
