About The Position

Reasons Eating Disorder Center (Reasons) is seeking caring, compassionate, and hardworking professionals to provide compassionate care to diverse adult and adolescent patients in virtual partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs. Candidates must be located in California, but the job is online. The Virtual Program Therapist assists patients in meeting their biopsychosocial needs, enabling them to access optimal emotional health through therapeutic treatment. This includes individual therapy, psych diagnostic assessment, teaching, specialized clinical social work services, crisis intervention, short-term and long-term family therapy, group therapy, milieu management, and providing information and referrals. Reasons is part of Universal Health Services, Inc. (UHS), one of the nation's largest and most respected providers of hospital and healthcare services.

Requirements

Master's Degree required from an accredited college or university, in Social Work or a clinical related mental health field preferred.
Minimum of one (1) year experience in a psychiatric health care setting, with direct experience in family and group therapies, crisis intervention, and treatment skills.
Master’s prepared or higher.
A familiarity and ease with online video-assisted communication.
Candidates must be located in California.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience working with eating disorders, trauma, substance use and LGBTQIA+ communities.
Strong clinical assessment skills.
Experience with the eating disorder population for a specialty program.
Licensed and/or License-eligible therapist.
Bilingual (Spanish) Highly Preferred.

Responsibilities

Formulate and conduct educational, therapeutic, and/or support groups online.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, health care team members and community providers regarding resident status and progress.
Interact and communicate with community agencies in assessment of and service to patients.
Provide liaison and referral services to community agencies and appears in court when requested or subpoenaed.
Maintain confidentiality in compliance with professional ethics according to professional and facility standards.
