About The Position

Wolverine Human Services is seeking a passionate, licensed Therapist to join our residential treatment team working with youth. This role is ideal for clinicians who are committed to trauma-informed care, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and making a lasting impact in the lives of young people and families. As a Therapist, you will provide individual, group, support treatment planning, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to guide youth toward stability and successful reintegration into their communities. Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related Human Services field
  • Current Michigan licensure (LMSW, LPC, LLP, etc.)
  • Experience with youth, families, or residential treatment settings
  • Strong understanding of CBT, trauma-informed care, and behavior modification techniques
  • Clinicians who are compassionate, adaptable, and resilient
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to work with diverse populations and complex cases
  • Commitment to equity, inclusion, and culturally responsive care

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in residential or juvenile justice settings
  • Knowledge of family court systems and community-based services
  • Experience with family reintegration and case management

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual, and group therapy , using CBT and trauma-informed approaches
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment and safety plans
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation and reports
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders (courts, agencies, families)
  • Ensure compliance with state licensing, accreditation, and agency standards
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to clinical decision-making
  • Support youth through behavioral interventions and skill development
  • Act as a mandated reporter in accordance with Michigan law
