Therapist (Residential Youth Program)
About The Position
Wolverine Human Services is seeking a passionate, licensed Therapist to join our residential treatment team working with youth. This role is ideal for clinicians who are committed to trauma-informed care, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and making a lasting impact in the lives of young people and families. As a Therapist, you will provide individual, group, support treatment planning, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to guide youth toward stability and successful reintegration into their communities. Requirements
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related Human Services field
- Current Michigan licensure (LMSW, LPC, LLP, etc.)
- Experience with youth, families, or residential treatment settings
- Strong understanding of CBT, trauma-informed care, and behavior modification techniques
- Clinicians who are compassionate, adaptable, and resilient
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work with diverse populations and complex cases
- Commitment to equity, inclusion, and culturally responsive care
Nice To Haves
- Experience in residential or juvenile justice settings
- Knowledge of family court systems and community-based services
- Experience with family reintegration and case management
Responsibilities
- Provide individual, and group therapy , using CBT and trauma-informed approaches
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment and safety plans
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation and reports
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders (courts, agencies, families)
- Ensure compliance with state licensing, accreditation, and agency standards
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to clinical decision-making
- Support youth through behavioral interventions and skill development
- Act as a mandated reporter in accordance with Michigan law
