Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Communications Program Support Specialist to provide comprehensive communications management, monitoring, and reporting support for a federal program. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting enterprise communications initiatives, managing editorial processes, and developing data-driven communication strategies that support mission objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, Business, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience supporting communications programs in a government or enterprise environment.
  • Experience managing editorial calendars and multi-channel communication campaigns.
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Experience tracking metrics and preparing executive-level reports.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong organizational and project coordination skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting federal acquisition or workforce development organizations.
  • Familiarity with SharePoint, content management systems, or email marketing tools.
  • Experience supporting leadership communications and executive briefings.
  • Knowledge of analytics tools for web and social media performance tracking.

Responsibilities

  • Support development and execution of communication plans, including campaign design, content planning, messaging, and scheduling.
  • Maintain the enterprise communications calendar and coordinate with SMEs to ensure accurate, timely, and aligned content.
  • Manage editorial workflows, routing, and approvals to deliver polished, multi-channel communication products.
  • Track program timelines, milestones, risks, and communication priorities.
  • Monitor external publications, industry trends, and agency reporting to identify relevant topics and content opportunities.
  • Surface insights that inform messaging, content planning, and workforce engagement.
  • Prepare weekly communication activity updates and status summaries.
  • Develop monthly metrics reports highlighting reach, engagement, and channel effectiveness.
  • Produce ad hoc reports and analysis to support evolving leadership and mission needs.
