About The Position

As a Program Support Specialist , you will play a vital role in ensuring children have safe, reliable access to services, activities, and supports that promote their overall well-being. This position works closely with program staff and Lead Therapist to coordinate transportation and support the Lead Therapist during group sessions by assisting with activities and maintaining a structured, positive environment Through consistent presence and positive engagement, you help create a safe, structured environment and support children in building social, emotional, and life skills. This role works closely with Professional Mentors, the Family Engagement Specialist, Lead Therapist, and Caregivers to support youth participation in scheduled services and activities, including coordinating and providing transportation as needed.

Requirements

  • Valid Montana driver’s license (or ability to obtain) and acceptable driving record
  • Safe, reliable personal vehicle (when an organizational vehicle is not available)
  • Availability to consistently work a minimum schedule of 2:00–6:00 PM during the school year and daytime hours in summer
  • Successful completion of background checks, including criminal and protective services clearances
  • Strong time management skills and ability to adapt to schedule changes

  • Practicum opportunity is available for candidates pursuing a bachelor’s degree in a human services-related field, with on-site supervision provided.

Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, reliable transportation for children to and from therapy appointments and related services at the Missoula Clubhouse.
  • Ensure timely pickups and drop-offs while maintaining clear communication with families and staff
  • Create a calm, supportive environment during transportation where trust and connection can develop
  • Support the Lead Therapist during group sessions by assisting with activities and maintaining a structured, positive environment
  • As needed coordinate with Lead Therapist to reinforce goals outlined in individualized treatment plans
  • Assist with care coordination tasks, including gathering signatures and uploading documents
  • Collaborate with mentors, family engagement staff, and the Lead Therapist to coordinate services
  • Communicate observations related to children’s behavioral and emotional progress
  • Encourage positive peer interactions and model effective conflict resolution strategies
  • Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive environment for youth
  • Participate in team meetings and case discussions
  • Adapt support strategies to meet the unique and evolving needs of each child and family
