About The Position

The Residential Program Supervisor provides leadership and support to residential staff to empower participants in achieving optimal independence and community integration. Utilize a strength-based approach to foster staff growth and participant opportunity. Model and promote person-centered planning through positive interactions with participants. Train, guide, and support staff to ensure effective service delivery. Oversee program operations by monitoring interactions, documentation, feedback, and data to maintain compliance with Federal, State, and Mental Health Association policies and regulations.

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license, reliable and insured vehicle, and acceptable driving record required.
  • High school diploma or GED required; college degree in human services or related field preferred.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience, preferably with individuals with disabilities or brain injuries.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team; strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective communication skills (oral, written, and basic computer proficiency).
  • Must be MAP, CPR, and First Aid certified and maintain certifications.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with patience, adaptability, and compassion.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.

  • college degree in human services or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Directly supervise, train, and support residential staff to promote autonomy and ensure compliance with all policies.
  • Assist staff in engaging residents in daily living activities and monitor participant well-being.
  • Conduct regular supervision and staff meetings; monitor attendance, compliance, and document outcomes.
  • Oversee program documentation and ensure compliance with regulations; manage records and reports.
  • Respond promptly to medical and psychiatric emergencies; notify leadership within required timelines.
  • Coordinate communication among nursing, DDS, clinical teams, families, and external providers.
  • Manage program timesheets, reports, and participate in on-call rotation; document actions accordingly.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources for hiring, scheduling, and maintaining adequate staffing.
  • Manage program budgets, ensuring adherence to agency and participant funds protocols.
  • Guide staff in participant support including advocacy, self-advocacy training, medical coordination, and crisis prevention.
  • Monitor medication administration and ensure compliance with MAP standards; facilitate annual training on human rights and fire safety.
  • Promote a safe workplace by identifying hazards, reporting accidents, and fostering a positive, collaborative team environment.
