SUMMARY The Supervisor, Day Program, oversees, monitors, and coordinates the daily operations of a day program providing services to individuals. This position communicates with the staff, consumers, parents/guardians, and consumers' team members to ensure that appropriate services and supports are provided, and is responsible for coordinating day program activities consistent with consumer personal support/habilitation plans. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential function listed below: Oversees the daily operation of the Day Program. Serves as administrative supervisor for all Day Program personnel (excluding clinical specialists) including hiring, performance evaluation and disciplinary action. Maintains a safe environment at the day program. Ensures that day program placement and the schedules of clients align with each individual’s requirements. Updates and implements medication sheets for all individuals served. Coordinates transportation for all medical appointments during day program hours. Ensures that the Day Program is in compliance with the standards of all applicable state and private certification and licensing agencies. Completes monthly inspections and implements corrective action as necessary Cooperates with the licensee and Department of Human Services in any inspection or investigation. Ensures all vehicles have proper documentation and compliance with state and licensing agencies and regular maintenance is maintained. Implements all safety and fire procedures at day program according to all regulations and standards Maintains monthly budgets and required documentation. Completes payroll documentation for all day program employees. Evaluates and orders monthly supplies for the Day Program. Serves on committees as assigned. Performs other related duties and activities as required. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Directs and supervises assigned staff, including performance evaluations, scheduling, orientation, and training. Makes decisions on employee hires, transfers, promotions, salary changes, discipline, terminations, and similar actions. Resolves employee problems within position responsibilities.
