About The Position

The Department of Medical Education, Office of Assessment and Evaluation is seeking a Program Specialist to support student assessment, and curriculum and program evaluation. This position will coordinate administration of exams for medical students supplied by the National Board of Medical Examiners (NBME) including exam scheduling, proctor management, and accommodation implementation. In addition, the Program Specialist will support evaluation management of the Doctor of Medicine curriculum and department programs and services. The hourly rate range for this position is $32.43-$34.35. Requirements

  • Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree, Combined experience/education as substitute for minimum education
  • Minimum Experience: 2 years
  • Minimum Field of Expertise: Directly related professional experience in program specialization, e.g., counseling or teaching.

Responsibilities

  • Development of MD student exam calendar
  • Ordering of NBME exams and managing the NBME exam roster
  • Working under the direction of faculty in assessment and evaluation and course directors, develop and distribute weekly performance checks via the learning management system
  • Coordinate hiring and training of exam proctors
  • Work closely with the Office of Student Affairs to support student examination needs, including implementation of exam accommodations
  • Support program and curricular evaluation development and reporting to the deans, course directors, and curriculum committees
  • Support assessment development and reporting to the deans, course directors, and curriculum committees
  • Assists in the planning, organization and delivery of services and activities specific to a University program.
  • Provides specialized professional services such as counseling, testing and evaluation, teaching or events planning.
