The Program Specialist (PS) for the Program and Innovation Office supports the implementation of public health projects in domestic and global settings. With discretion and professionalism, the PS is responsible for the coordinated management and support of projects directed toward the CDC Foundation’s strategic and business objectives. The PS will report to a Campaign Director while also directly supporting a Senior Program Officer and Senior Technical Advisor in advancing the work of a subset of projects that fall within two programs: - National Hypertension Control Program – a CDC Foundation-led public-private coalition to combat the growing problem of hypertension, a leading contributor to cardiovascular disease and preventable deaths in the United States. The alliance produces health education campaigns, behavior change programs, and community interventions to advance measurable impact on hypertension control. - Hunger, Nutrition and Health Action Collaborative – a CDC Foundation-led network that allows individuals and organizations to identify, share and leverage innovations and best practices that support the implementation of the National Strategy on Hunger, Nutrition and Health. The effort includes an Innovation Lab comprised of 10 community-based organizations—each dedicated to addressing specific hunger-related challenges. This position will work a hybrid schedule based in Atlanta, GA. Attendance at in-person team meetings in Atlanta and across the US is required. Relocation expenses are not provided.
