Our Product Support and Logistics Division (PSLD) is one of the most innovative divisions within Caterpillar. In PSLD, as within all of Caterpillar, our priority is our customers and helping them build a better world. We touch nearly every element of the services value stream. PSLD is responsible for Aftermarket Parts Distribution of Cat Parts, Integrated Logistics and Global Services supporting Caterpillar dealers and customers. Our teams work together in critical areas that leverage digital capabilities, technology and operational excellence. As a Program Specialist, you will lead RFID planning, deployment, and sustainment across Integrated Logistics sites and manage Salesforce solutions for Parts Visualization (Parts Viz) and Transportation Visualization (tViz). You will oversee end‑to-end RFID hardware and software execution and drive enhancements. You will also provide support for Salesforce PSLD applications to ensure operational readiness and business value. Additional Information: This role is located in Morton, IL and does not offer relocation or sponsorship This role is 1st Shift: Monday through Friday This role is 100% on-site with no opportunities for hybrid or remote schedules This role requires up to 20% domestic travel

Requirements

  • Planning: Tactical, Strategic: Knowledge of effective planning techniques and ability to contribute to operational (short term), tactical (1-2 years) and strategic (3-5 years) planning in support of the overall business plan.
  • Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
  • Flexibility and Adaptability: Knowledge of successful approaches and techniques for dealing with change; ability to adapt to a changing environment and be comfortable with change.
  • Managing Multiple Priorities: Knowledge of effective self-management practices; ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.
  • Relationship Management: Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience with RFID technology
  • Prior experience in Logistics or related field
  • Prior experience with Artificial Intelligence (AI) and automation software

Responsibilities

  • Lead recurring meetings and workstreams for RFID initiatives.
  • Coordinate RFID site installs, tagging processes, training, and documentation.
  • Manage Surgere vendor tasks, including labels, EPC setup, and API documentation.
  • Configure Zebra printers and resolve printing issues.
  • Oversee DB2 loads, MQ/ACE mapping, and Surgere API calls.
  • Serve as lead for PSLD Salesforce apps (Parts Viz and tViz).
  • Deliver enhancements and support for visualization tools.
  • Gather requirements, manage backlog, and ensure timely releases.
  • Maintain integrations between Salesforce and logistics systems.
  • Support network and firewall setup for RFID connectivity.
  • Provide timeline and readiness updates to leadership and site teams.
