About The Position

The Program Specialist IV in this role is responsible for conducting data collection and analysis to produce accurate quantitative reports on students, staff, and funding to evaluate the effectiveness of programs for students with disabilities; providing technical assistance to Bureau staff, school districts, and other stakeholders on the Florida Education Finance Program (FEFP); preparing timely and accurate data for publications and reports, including the Annual Performance Report, LEA Profiles, Databook, and surveys; assisting FDOE and district personnel in using data to determine program effectiveness; collaborating professionally with Department, Bureau, and district staff to ensure timely responses to inquiries; participating in assigned workgroups related to discipline, restraint, seclusion, and other indicators; and supporting other sections as needed based on expertise.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts data collection and analysis activities to produce quantitative reports related to students, staff, and funding to determine the effectiveness of special programs for students with disabilities.
  • Provides technical assistance to Bureau staff, school districts, and other interested parties on the Florida Education Finance Program (FEFP) as it relates to students with disabilities.
  • Collaborates with Department and Bureau staff and other resource persons to ensure that responses to inquiries are made in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Prepares accurate and timely data for use in publications for dissemination to Department and Bureau staff, district personnel, and other interested parties, including the Annual Performance Report, LEA Profiles, Databook.
  • Provides assistance to FDOE staff and school district personnel on the use of data to determine program effectiveness for students with disabilities.
  • Prepares accurate and timely data for use in publications, including the Annual Performance Report, LEA Profiles, and Surveys; for dissemination to FDOE staff, school district personnel, and other interested parties.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
